A woman crashed her car into a house in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles on Friday, setting both the vehicle, and the house on fire, officials say.

Heche first rose to fame on the soap opera "Another World," where she played the dual role of twins Vicky Hudson and Marley Love from 1987 to 1991 and earned a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance. In a 2021 interview with Page Six She was taken to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics in critical condition.

Heche is "intubated, but expected to live" after reportedly being burnt in the dramatic crash.

Firefighters worked today to combat the blaze, while calling in Heavy Rescue to extract the vehicle. According to TMZ, which first reported the news, Heche was reportedly driving erratically in Los Angeles on Friday morning before her car crashed into a residential home, at which point a fire began. Yahoo! News, meanwhile, has video taken from a Fox 11 broadcast of the aftermath of the crash, showing that Heche’s car appears to have plowed through the front yard, and front wall, of an L.A. residence, nearly reaching the back of the building before stopping and catching fire.

Sources told TMZ Heche is currently intubated in the hospital after a car crash, but "expected to live".
