Ezra Miller has been charged with felony burglary in Stamford, VT, according to a report from the Vermont State Police.

Many felt the decision to ditch the film, which features an an Afro-Latina star in Leslie Grace, was bad optics. The company remained quiet during Miller's previous assault arrests earlier this year, but sources within the company said emergency meetings were held in April to discuss their recent controversies and how the studio would proceed going forward. "And we're working on all of those. This latest incident follows a pattern of disturbing behavior and allegations of misconduct that traces back to at least 2020. The alleged incident occurred on May 1 and involved missing bottles of alcohol from a local residence. The felony burglary charge against Miller comes almost a year before Warner Bros. is slated to release "The Flash," a $100 million film that is part of the studio's DC franchise.

The Flash actor Ezra Miller has been surrounded by controversies for months, and now they've been charged with felony burglary.

This felony burglary charge and the other controversies have arrived as the two major franchise Ezra Miller has been part of have been firmly in the public spotlight. In April, Miller reprised Credence Barebone in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, and should this franchise continue with the final two Fantastic Beasts movies, it’s hard to say if Miller will be part of them. It was reported that Miller had been housing a mother and her three children on the actor’s Vermont farm since April. Miller reportedly met the mother during their time in Hawaii and secured a flight for her and the kids without the knowledge of the children’s father.

While it's unclear what exactly has been fueling the actor's rampage, it seems overly apparent that they are in need of help. This is partly because of the recent shake-up over at Warner Bros., one that led to the cancelation of the upcoming Batgirl movie. Miller's less-than-legal exploits have been a hot story over the past few months, making the problem of their public breakdown even more complicated.

With plans to turn the unsteady DC universe into a Marvel behemoth, Warner Bros. may find the fastest man alive taking them off track. Also, the parents of 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes filed a protection order against Miller, accusing them of grooming and brainwashing their child. Cops located the Fantastic Beasts star at 11:23 p.m. August 7 and issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on Sept. 26 for arraignment on the burglary charge. As a result of an investigation that included surveillance videos and statements, probable cause was found to charge Ezra M. Miller with the offense of felony burglary into an unoccupied dwelling. Having weathered previous Miller scandals so far, the David Zaslav-run Warner Bros. Discovery has so far maintained that The Flash is still set for a June 23, 2023 theatrical release. Whether or not those efforts will bear fruit is TBD. Yet, if transgender nonbinary identifying Miller has anything resembling a standard Hollywood studio agreement, it would follow that there is a morals clause somewhere in their contract — which could come into play at some point now.

'All Is Good In Flash Land' As Ezra Miller Arrests Continue And ... (Forbes)

There is perhaps no greater mystery in Hollywood right now than what on earth WB is going to do with The Flash, Ezra Miller's solo film.

Batgirl, for instance, was just canceled, and that film was supposed to connect with Flash’s Batman, played by Michael Keaton in a cameo, and Flash co-star Supergirl, who was also supposed to get a solo film that may now be up in the air. Things are wildly different, both in terms of the state of the DC universe and The Flash’s role in it, and the frankly absurd situation where its star is now on a literal crime spree. A few years ago, The Flash seemed like a perfectly reasonable idea, and the biggest issues it faced was running through a few different directors.

One arrest was for disorderly conduct and harassment and the other was for second-degree assault. The DCEU is seemingly falling apart in front of our eyes, but the head brass at Warner Bros. Discovery and the producers of The Flash beg to differ. This is far from the first time that The Flash and its star Ezra Miller have been in the news, and it doesn’t seem like it will be the last.

In a film that was only good because it was an improvement on Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is not saying much, Miller’s performance as Barry Allen aka The Flash (along with Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman) was one of the saving graces. This was the film that put Miller on the world map, earning him accolades and awards. The Flash's Ezra Miller Films More Scenes Following Arrests (The Direct)

It's been revealed that Warner Bros. worked with Ezra Miller after his multiple arrests over the summer.

This is likely far from the last questionable update fans will get in regards to the future of Miller’s solo project. Pulling the actor in for work, under the radar, right after their antics in Hawaii, is not a good way of doing that. Maybe the company had no other choice but to bring Miller in so they could tie the final product together. The star is set to lead next year’s The Flash, but the fate of their movie has long been in question. One would think that, given all of those examples, Warner Bros. might be trying its hardest to work with Miller as little as possible in hopes of still being able to release the film one day. In fact, the studio had the actor in for more shooting after many of Miller’s allegations had already come to light.

Maybe they really are the fastest person alive. Somehow, legally troubled actor Ezra Miller managed to attend The Flash reshoots this summer.

Zaslav has reportedly seen a cut of The Flash and been impressed. These would have to have taken place before their recent arrest for stealing alcohol, but after those in March and April for disorderly conduct and assault in Hawaii. In the meantime, the star has also faced accusations of grooming, child endangerment, and running a cult, though these have been disputed by some of the parties involved. If Miller has indeed been showing up regularly, the studio and law enforcement have likely had more knowledge of their whereabouts than some stories might imply. Miller participated in regularly scheduled additional photography over the summer, apparently without incident, before being charged with burglary — their third arrest this year — on Aug. 7 in Vermont.
