There is a first start of the season for Trevoh Chalobah as Chelsea host Leicester City in the Premier League this afternoon.

The young defender is expected to play in the back three alongside Reece James and Thiago Silva, with Edouard Mendy retained in goal. The referee is Paul Tierney and the VAR is Andre Marriner. The defender is the one change from last weekend’s defeat at Leeds United, replacing the suspended Kalidou Kouliably at the back.

Thomas Tuchel is aiming for his first win at Stamford Bridge this season against a Leicester side who have made a slow start to the season.

Today is his chance to show this and usually we can always rely on him to perform. Last year he came into the side as somewhat of an underdog, the challenger trying to break into the side because nobody knew too much of what he could offer. Leicester have already conceded the most in the Premier League so far with eight goals, only being kept off the bottom by their single point on the opening weekend against Brentford. Thomas Tuchel needs a quick response from his players following last Sunday's horror show at Elland Road, whilst Brendan Rodgers needs to lift the ever souring mood at the King Power amid a challenging summer. Chelsea look to have finally got their man after agreeing a £70 million transfer for Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana.

When Chelsea first registered their interest in Fofana, Rodgers publicly stated the centre-back was not for sale. Leicester will reportedly receive £70 million, along with add-on's that likely involve appearances for the club, as well as club and personal honours. It comes after weeks of talks between the two sides, with the 21-year-old making his intentions clear to Leicester that he'd like to join Chelsea.
