Naturally, this means that there's a bit of jealously, proven by the fact that Jin Mu steals the ice stone from Bu-yeon on the boat, and seemingly makes no ...
The real Queen is worried that the Cheonbugwan mage could have shifted souls to exit the capital, unable to be recognised, but it’s made clear that part of these worries are just a front for her own concerns that she will have to permanently exist in Shaman Choi’s body. Next, Mu-deok tries on a wedding dress on behalf of an unnamed bride, before Jang Uk enters for the two to perform a ritual together. With that being said, the heir has more important things on his mind, especially when afforded the chance to head to Cheonbugwan’s secret room for a meeting with Jin Mu. “I am responsible for all the mistakes related to Songrim, Jinyowon, and Cheonbugwan,” the Gwanju admits, explaining that he will become petrified where he is to make up for all that he has done wrong. Demonic in her demeanour, Shaman Choi vows to get rid of the ice stone, but warns that once she does, everyone inside it will die. Antagonising the Cheonbugwan mage further over him being the by-product of an affair that disallowed him the chance to be properly acknowledged by the Jin family, Choi soon finds herself stood up to, and her past life mocked. Throwing what is said to be the ashes of Gwigu up in the air, Park Jin flusters Shaman Choi, who immediately panics. Yet all that occurs is an argument, with Shaman Choi angered by the assistant Gwanju’s explanations on the order of the world, and defamation. Bringing up the visit of Jang Gang that saw him claim the ice stone, Park Jin effectively forces Ho-gyeong into an answer, which comes after a flashback showing how the gwanju used sorcery to protect Bu-yeon is played. As such, Mu-deok is firmly against the idea that would see her pupil lose everything, despite it being a way to counteract the Queen’s haste in taking the relic for herself. Showing a bit of humanity, the assistant Gwanju expresses his wish to have the Crown Prince saved before the fake Queen does anything, confident that she can wait given that everyone is too concerned with being on edge. Then, after a quick succession of scenes demonstrating that the body Naksu inherited is Bu-yeon’s, we return to the present.

Armed with the bells, Jin-Mu heads in to see Park Jin and warns that Naksu is on the rampage. She jumps into the water and lets herself be submerged to the depths. Now, it could well be that the king punishes Songrim for what’s happened and this plays right into the hands of Jin-Mu. Speaking of which, if Bu-Yeon is supposed to be this powerful sorceress, shouldn’t she have interfered with the whole bells malarkey? However, hands grab her and start to bring her back to the surface. The bells ring once more but this time Mu-Deok takes off, leaving Jang-Uk to bleed out on the ground. Unfortunately, Jin-Mu uses this to his advantage and encourages the Crown Prince to make Jang-Uk hit rock bottom. Not only that but Jin-Mu starts to put all the pieces together and realizes that Mu-Deok is actually Naksu. Mu-Deok is nowhere to be found either, given she’s fallen under the influence of Jin-Mu’s sorcery. So-I eventually smuggles the medicine to Yul to help him with his pain. She’s not exactly in the forgiving mood and tells him she hopes he’s in agony after what he’s done to their family. As for Park Jin, he realizes Jin-Mu knows all about Jang Gang’s past and decides the only solution is to have him killed.

In front of the King, Jin Mu says that he found Naksu to clear his name and reveals his hopes for Songrim to be strongly punished for what happened. Dang-gu informs his uncle that he believes his friend was already aware of Mu-deok’s real identity, as well as the fact that Jin Mu is raiding Jeongjingak to find proof of said claim. After Maidservant Kim vehemently cries over how Jang Uk’s death is being treated “as if he is a criminal,” unable to have his cremation altered to something more respectful, we cut to the proceeding. Rather interestingly, the controlled soul shifter recalls her own father when hearing the cries of Cho-yeon, ready to head the order of Jin Mu to murder those responsible for his death. Next, we watch the wedding between Dang-gu and Cho-yeon, one that looks set to be a celebratory occasion despite some petty squabbles between the leaders of Songrim and Jinyowon. Unable to be calmed down by the former assassin’s rationale that he will only feel worse should Uk stick around, the Crown Prince vocalises his displeasure in Mu-deok being with her partner, requesting that they go far away so that they can stay safe from his potential “violent, wicked” feelings that would see an end to the pairing’s relationship. Meanwhile, the Crown Prince tells Jin Mu that he will cast Jang Uk, who is believed to be without the ice stone, far away, and orders the assistant Gwanju to admit to his crimes by the end of the day. Unfortunately for the royal, he does not get Park Jin to crack, meaning that Jang Uk’s identity is still not properly admitted to. As such, Jin Mu heads out to confirm that the maid is in fact Naksu, manipulating her with the divination bells. Recalling the information that a divination curse on the Soul Ejector can control the soul that uses it, Jin Mu picks up his newly acquired bells, ready to make any given soul shifter run wild. Later on, Park Jin discusses Jin Mu’s knowledge of Jang Uk’s reality with his partner, informing her that the Cheonbugwan leader turned Cho Chung into a monster solely to torture the Gwanju. Finding out that he was given the missing So-i’s blood, the genius mage trusts that he will get better soon and asks that his condition is kept a secret.
