Ponniyin Selvan movie singer Bamba Bakiya who works predominantly in the Tamil movie industry has passed away suddenly. Though the songs went viral, Bamba did not get any chance to sing solo. Later in the year 2018, AR Rahman once again gave him a chance to sing in the blockbuster movie 2.0 starring Rajinikanth in the lead role after which he was recognised as Bamba Bakiya.

Bamba Bakya, who sang the Tamil song Ponni Nadhi in Mani Ratnam's upcoming film Pooniyin Selvan Part 1, died on Friday.
