I have seen the rise of new ones such as Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, and of course, what we're going to be talking about today, Jujutsu Kaisen. But while ...
I felt the emotion in both versions, and they were both able to express the feelings of all the characters in the best way possible. When helping Yuta try to harness the power of Rika into the katana and to find a way to free her of her curse, you can see that he really does care about the kid and wants her to succeed, which is something I feel like we don’t get to see a lot of in the show, besides him being a badass. When I say “introduced,” I more or less mean that it feels we are given so much more story on these characters than before, as if we are properly introduced to them instead of having a few flashbacks and appearances in the anime before. It felt as if I was back in the theaters watching it for the first time on the big screen and seeing all the intensity all over again, because the animation was beautifully done and created some visually stunning sequences that I didn’t normally get in the TV show. Big nerd and lover of Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire. Fans of the show have to see this prequel. However, in the prequel, I actually started to find myself caring for Gojo more because we got to see his heart in a way I hadn’t seen in the anime. I have always personally preferred dubbed just so I can fully focus on the animation and all the cool stuff happening, but I understand why Something I really like about Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is that it dives deep into the characters that we already know from the series. To be honest, I feel like it’s one of the best anime films based on a show, as well, but those are for other reasons we can't talk about here. The only saving grace he had was that it seemed he cared for Yuji Itadori, but at the same time, even some of those moments didn't feel super likeable. While I’m relatively new to the genre (I wasn’t watching it from childhood like some people), I’ve been consistently viewing it for the last ten years – maybe even beyond if you count all [the Pokemon shows](https://www.cinemablend.com/television/2566000/every-pokemon-anime-series-ranked).

In a recent promotional image, [MAPPA revealed that the season will be diving into the past of teacher Satoru Gojo](https://comicbook.com/anime/news/jujutsu-kaisen-universal-studios-japan-scary-real-statue-gojo/), in his younger days when he considered Geto a friend. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was based on the initial offering created by Gege Akutami in "Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School", which came out prior to Jujutsu Kaisen hitting the scene in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump. With season two arriving next year as MAPPA works on the anime adaptation, it's a good time to be a Jujutsu Kaisen fan.
Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the few shonen to actually feature competent villains that are allowed to let their intelligence shine to great results.
It's no contest to who has the bigger brains when it comes to Kenjaku as he is a literal brain that has lived for thousands of years gathering all the Intel he could. Thousands of years of planning go into his grand plan and audiences are still unsure of what's left of his machinations, or what else the ancient cerebrum has in store for the series' protagonists. His strategy is to enact a divide and conquer tactic along with a bait and switch in order to fulfill his true goal to consume Rika. Thanks to his background within the Zenin clan, Toji knows full well what he is dealing with and how to be patient. Being one of the strongest cursed spirits to have ever existed, Sukuna is quite knowledgeable about everything involving sorcery. Though arrogant and crude, Sukuna should not be mistaken for a mindless killing machine with one of the The only obstacle to this assignment is a young Gojo Satoru and his six eyes technique. Todo's Boogie-Woogie cursed technique is a particularly difficult one to anticipate when in the midst of a battle. With this ability, Reggie has to think quickly on the fly and keep his opponents on the defensive. It's his pride though as a fighter that gets in the way and his refusal to think "like a loser" when faced against immeasurable odds gives way to risk-taking behavior. The villains themselves are integral to both of these as they are given the same attention as the heroes are. Their unique speech and incredible durability made them one of the more intriguing antagonists of JJK.
The director decided to zero in on the many characters that feature in Jujutsu Kaisen 0, both new and familiar.
For instance, the other students at Jujutsu High are allowed to shine in relation to their bond with Yuta, and adult characters like Geto and Gojo untangle their motivations as the film progresses. [Crunchyroll](https://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-feature/2022/03/25/interview-jujutsu-kaisen-0-director-sunghoo-park-on-creating-cinematic-sorcery), Park explained that the best thing he learned from the reactions of "Jujutsu Kaisen" fans was that there was massive interest in a wide range of characters. The film follows Yuta Okkotsu, a kid who has the Cursed Spirit of his childhood friend attached to him and is enrolled in Jujutsu High by [Jujutsu Kaisen 0,](https://www.slashfilm.com/1018047/jujutsu-kaisen-0-review-this-anime-franchise-prequel-is-a-heartwarming-spectacle/)" which acts as a prequel film to the series. Although she was already one of the most powerful fighters in Jujutsu Kaisen, Maki just got a major upgrade that brings her closer to Toji's level.
Now that she has upgraded her powers though, Maki has become even more of an asset for Jujutsu Kaisen's protagonists and will likely play an even larger role in the battles to come. Becoming more like Toji was actually the inspiration for her epiphany, realizing that if only she was more like him, she could have adequately protected herself and her allies from Naoya's initial attacks. Maki Zenin is the daughter of a powerful clan of sorcerers that was born without the ability to use cursed energy. After the Shibuya incident, her family tried to kill her and her twin sister, which caused her sister to sacrifice herself to make Maki even more powerful. Her new technique now greatly increases how skillfully she can use her already impressive abilities. This additional power enabled her to wipe out her clan in an all out battle, but she still lacks to skill to put her on the same level as Toji.
