X-Men: Tom Hardy stuns as Wolverine in jaw-dropping image (Bam! Smack! Pow!)

Fans are thrilled at the prospect of Wolverine's arrival in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and this image of Tom Hardy has made them even more excited.

Tom Hardy has indeed been at the top of many fan-castings over the years but his role as another Marvel character in another franchise may make landing the role as Wolverine unlikely. Let us know in the comments below! Another thing that may make it unlikely is the potential possibility of Hugh Jackman being brought back as [we could see the X-Men](https://bamsmackpow.com/2021/03/05/mcu-x-men-movie-in-development-the-mutants/) and [ Wolverine show up in two completely separate properties](https://bamsmackpow.com/2021/04/15/wolverine-mcu-debut-disney-plus-series/). The incredible image sees the actor donning a comic-accurate yellow and black outfit that also showcases the character’s signature mask – something the Fox version of the character didn’t have in any of his appearances throughout that saga. But one actor more than capable of giving it a go would undoubtedly be the incomparable Tom Hardy.

It isn’t necessarily that he won, although the fact that he did will only help to shore up his hard-man credentials, but the sheer mundanity of the event. But when he posed in front of them all for a photoshoot, it did look a little like every bad dream you’ve ever had come harrowingly to life. He could have hyped the competition on social media, flooding the venue with fans and making the entire tournament all about him. He could have sought out sponsorship, and arrived in a gi daubed in logos for Coca-Cola or Chicken Tonight. He just quietly turned up to a secondary school sports hall on a Saturday morning, without drawing any unnecessary attention to himself, and went about kicking everyone’s butt into smithereens. Better yet, one of his competitors told the media that Hardy was “probably one of the toughest competitors I’ve had”. Think of all the ways that this could have gone wrong.
