PGL Bans Streamers Being Negative When Broadcasting The ... (Forbes)

PGL, the company hired by Valve to run The International Dota 2 tournament, has banned streamers who want to broadcast the event from bad mouthing it.

Broadcasts for both the qualifiers and Last Chance Qualifier have all been done remotely, and featured a variety of technical issues. The International is the biggest Dota 2 tournament of the year and was, for many years, considered the pinnacle of esports, with the largest prize pools ever seen and incredible production. After missing 2020 due to Covid and 2021’s event being without a crowd, the Dota 2 community was set for TI to return to its glory days.

"Hana Chaar Choueib steered her organisation in Lebanon through several crises – not only Covid-19, but also political upheaval and ongoing economic challenges – to ensure the continuity of care and psychosocial support for children with cancer in her country." "Murallitharan Munisamy is a civil society leader who safeguarded the frontline services of his organisation, while also playing a crucial role in his country’s Covid-19 response. In an unusual move, the judges decided to present the award to all three finalists.

Turbo games only count for half and last more than half as long anyway, so queue up for the normal modes and survive (in real life) until the end of the match. This contemptuous mission requires players to deal damage using controlled units other than their heroes.
