India's journey in the Denmark Open has come to an end as Lakshya Sen and the pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy bow out.

In his opening game in the competition against the World No. The scores were level at 8-8 in the first game before the Malaysian duo picked up the pace and won four straight points. Despite a slow start to the game, Lakshya managed to take a 14-13 lead in the first game but the Japanese edged it in the end. While facing his compatriot HS Prannoy in the next round, Sen once again came better of the World No. 8 in the world badminton rankings lost to a player placed 16 places behind him in the ranking. The likes of HS Prannoy, Kidambi Srikanth and Saina Nehwal were already eliminated earlier in the tournament in their respective categories.
