Makers unveiled a new poster of Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu this Diwali. They also announced the release date of the much-awaited film.

The film has garnered a fair deal of attention as it features the mass hero in a new avatar. In the poster, Thalapathy Vijay can be seen in an intense avatar with a huge hammer in hand and goons crying in pain in the background. This created a fair deal of buzz among fans. 'Varisu', starring Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna, is directed by Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally and will be released as 'Vaarasudu' in Telugu.

Co-starring Pooja Hegde in the lead, the film was helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar. They also announced that the film will hit the big screens during Pongal next year. The makers also hinted that they will be releasing a series of updates starting from next week.
