The Warriors have not yet played a road game this season; they have been able to stay in San Francisco for each of their first three games. The Kings simply have to figure out solutions there and get to a point where 108 points are enough to win a game. The Kings are not having problems scoring, so if just one or two core members of the Warriors do not fill it up from 3-point range, Sacramento can keep this game close and cover. They scored at least 108 in both games but have nothing to show for it because of their longstanding problems at the defensive end of the floor. We can say all we want about the Warriors’ championship identity and winning habits, but that kind of event is going to linger throughout the season, and it’s hardly a sure thing that the Dubs are going to stay on course for a repeat title. The Golden State Warriors are dealing with the fallout from the Draymond Green punch of Jordan Poole in a preseason practice.

The franchise record for a half is 92 points on Oct. F Andre Iguodala missed his third straight game to start the season as the Warriors stay cautious with his nagging left hip. He's just got so much energy, so much love for the game, love for his job, for his work,'' Kerr said. ... The Warriors have seven 50-point quarters. The reigning NBA Finals MVP helped Golden State to its third-most points in any half in franchise history and second-most in a first half. Kerr returned for Game 2 of the NBA Finals that year. Klay Thompson was held to eight points on 3-for-10 shooting. ... We let our guard down and they took advantage of it.''
After the Warriors held on for the win in a high-scoring battle against the Kings, NBA Twitter chimed in with different reactions.
The Warriors have missed about 6 layups in the last 5 mins. But also, please don’t do that again. Style points don’t matter. Warriors are 2-1. [October 24, 2022] Kings are 0-3. Warriors scored 50 points in the second quarter. Fox notched 26 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the floor with 10 assists and five rebounds in 37 minutes on Sunday. Behind Richaun Holmes, De’Aaron Fox, Malik Monk and Terrence Davis, the Kings mounted a fierce comeback, cutting Golden State’s lead all the way down to four points with just over a minute remaining. Andrew Wiggins added 18 points, while Jordan Poole notched 12 points all in the first half. Behind a 50-point second quarter, the Warriors posted a red-hot 89 points in the first half on Sunday night. Curry tallied 28 points in the first half.
Steph Curry caught fire in a 50-point second quarter and it almost wasn't enough for the Golden State Warriors, who hung on against the Sacramento Kings.
Wiggins finished with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks on 9-for-18 shooting from the field. Klay Thompson quietly had his least productive game of the season, scoring just 8 points in 27 minutes, but came up with a pair of huge stops against Fox in the final two minutes. When Curry returned to the floor with eight minutes left in the first half, Golden State exploded. With Curry on fire, the Warriors' offense became an unstoppable force that Sacramento had no chance of keeping up with. That was as good as it got for Brown on Sunday night as the Warriors defeated Sacramento 130-125. Two things were apparent early: both teams were ready to play on offense, while the defensive effort seemed to look a lot like the preseason.
The Warriors came out with a win Sunday night vs. the Kings, but some big lessons were learned for the young guys.

An NBA podcast recapping Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors 130-125 win over the Sacramento Kings.
You can listen to the podcast on iTunes, Spotify, or wherever else you get your podcasts. Jordan Poole returned to his old ways of bench dominance, but the second unit really struggled and nearly gave up what was once a 20-point lead. As I’ll do for most games this year, I recapped the action in podcast form.

If the wings and bigs behind him don’t play horribly on that end of the court, he’s just fine. His hands leave a lot to be desired, and his defense is truly awful right now ... In his rookie year, he would either gravitate as close to the hoop as possible or out to the three-point line ... There are still a lot of questions marks, as will likely be the case for a long time. now he’s moving to the open spot where he can operate, choosing to put himself in a position to shoot an open eight-footer over a contested four-footer. Right now that feels like a bummer because the bench is struggling, but if they figure things out it will look like a big positive. The playmaking was ridiculous in this game, and he’s learning to roll to the ideal spot so that he can set up teammates. A lot of standing around and waiting for the ball. Remember last year, when Curry’s three-point shot was off to start the season and some people made the silly mistake of wondering if he was falling off? Better than how he played in the first half of last year, earning him a trip to the All-Star Game. Just an amazing start to the season for him. Better than he played in the

Following an easy bucket by Terence Davis, the Warriors still led by 17 points. That was beside the point, though. "Transition defense," Kerr said flatly when ...
With a towel draped over his head and legs all wrapped up, it was clear that was to be the case for Curry. The Warriors scored 89 points in the first half, good for their second-most over a first half in franchise history and their third-most of any half. Then in the second half, they scored 41 points to the Kings' 54. "It's part of the growth of young guys trying to understand how hard it is to win in this league. It's really hard to win in this league and to sustain that -- 48 minutes is a long time. This was supposed to be a night where stars like Steph Curry could sit back and relax, cheering on his teammates from the sidelines for the final quarter. All three should have no excuse to not be running up and down the floor, and they should be fighting to prove themselves on a nightly basis. Over those final five minutes, Curry missed all four of his shot attempts and turned the ball over once. The training wheels also have to be all the way off. He also was a team-worst minus-18 in plus-minus, and Kerr isn't going to let him off easy. The second half, especially the fourth quarter, was full of nail biting and countless frustrations. You got a group of reserves out there, and those guys should be dying to be on the floor and flying around and playing with huge energy, and that's what I was upset about.
