This is 5th final appearance in BWF World Tour level tournament for the star Indian duo. In their overall career, this is the second Super 750 final for the Commonwealth Games champion duo from India. In the BWF World Tour, their highest title has been at the Super 500 level - the India Open title earlier this year and the Thailand Open title in 2019.

The Indians came up with an all-out attack and were up 2-0 early on and despite the Koreans managing to claw back at 7-7, Satwik and Chirag ensured they were four points ahead at the mid-game interval. After 3-3, Satwik and Chirag moved to a 7-4 lead.
