Can the iPhone finally connect to 5G with Celcom, Digi and U ... (SoyaCincau.com)

Celcom, Digi and U Mobile are Apple's partner telcos in Malaysia. Can you finally use 5G on the iPhone? Here's what you need to know.

Unifi Mobile has [started offering 5G today](https://soyacincau.com/2022/10/31/unifi-5g-tm-offers-unlimited-5g-data-postpaid-prepaid/) but [not all Samsung devices are supported](Uni5G: Here’s the list of smartphones that support 5G on Unifi Mobile) including the Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra 5G. [Yes 5G is the first telco](https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fsoyacincau.com%2F2021%2F12%2F16%2Fyes-5g-first-malaysia-5g-service-plan-unlimited-data%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR3aPz5v01k4G1-UJpOupT-PbgygiG81-layQvjX4qdLoEfH4hwZnZ_eKug&h=AT3R0-jQmXk8Wc4yxVuAQbDSnyRnilYlDJc-iox8g03VL88bvanaY9J7m47T0lanKxPb5U77o8TMTryBpFQg8EKIBjvyTTa7kVyo8rUqCHUDzWfcdg2QKdqv95EmdsHXfm4&__tn__=R]-R&c[0]=AT0z1fV4dg0vQKX6zNATAf9TvHMwjRn7ZuTUDU1DkzS72orGv1jpF-TU3PXNAFj6a7Zvq98hgsO17ylNZ3kIJBGlRfcTCNwPvsH1M5NFEOLuMRkNvHe362C0nsSsQHSiTLr3Q2V0Ug3rhvfPg0hLiV_2BoG1JgU3Kd6_Z2Y) to offer 5G services to consumers in Malaysia. For now, you’ll just have to wait until the carrier settings update message pops up on the screen and hopefully, it won’t take too long. Similar to 3G and 4G devices, the certification of 5G devices is led by SIRIM with guidance from the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). However, Yes 5G has not done that deal yet, which explains why Yes doesn’t support the full Apple services for the iPhone such as eSIM, FaceTime, VoLTE and WiFi calling. The access agreements will grant them access to the national 5G network and allow them to offer commercial 5G services to consumers.
