RDR2's Time Traveler Could Be The Key To Red Dead Redemption ... (Screen Rant)

Red Dead Redemption 3's setting could have been given away early by an unlikely source: RDR2's mysterious time-traveling stranger Francis Sinclair.

Despite how odd it is, it did leave a perfect trail of breadcrumbs that could show the way to the next chapter of Red Dead Redemption's story. [Red Dead Redemption 3 leaves the Old West](https://screenrant.com/red-dead-redemption-3-western-old-west-frontier/), it can still be great, and Francis could help bridge the gap. After two games planted firmly in the Old West, bringing Jack to the 20s for Red Dead Redemption 3 could be the twist that gives the next installment its niche. Not only that, but him coming to Red Dead Redemption 3 could finally answer the questions left over from his side quest in RDR2. Jack meeting Francis would be a perfectly feasible idea, and it could introduce a few missing pieces of the puzzle. Francis was only a minor character in Red Dead Redemption 2, and his mission could be skipped entirely. The story of Francis the time traveler is one of the game's weirdest, but the fact that it doesn't wrap itself up neatly means that its plot could be revisited sometime in the future if the next Red Dead Redemption takes place in the 1920s. Bringing Jack to the 1920s would give Red Dead Redemption 3 some good opportunities for growth. He took the protagonist role in Red Dead Redemption's epilogue after his father's death, and Given his close connection with the Van der Linde gang, he could make for a great lead in RDR3. From giving Charles a happy ending in RDR3 to continuing Sadie's bounty hunter career, there are a lot of stories to follow up on for the sequel, and one of the weirdest may be the best. Francis is one of the most mysterious characters in Red Dead Redemption 2.
