Dream of empowering over 1300 million Indians across the world to stay connected with their mother land [from Web, Phone, Tablet and other Smart devices] multiplies India Herald Group of Publishers Private LIMITED team energy to bring the best into all our media initiatives such as https://www.indiaherald.com He is a wonderful performer and more than just a comic, and he has given it his all. He could have actually made a comeback that would have been remembered by all of his fans with better writing and screenplay. Even though Vadivelu the comedian hasn't performed in a while, his comedic one-liners endure and are a vital component of children's vocabularies in the state of tamil Nadu. The director of Naai Sekar Returns, Suraj, makes no attempt to write a compelling storyline and instead depends solely on his star's old gags and antics. Otherwise, the movie doesn't affect you at all and merely makes us keep a straight face the entire time.

In this comeback movie Naai Sekar Returns, Vadivelu is shining as a great singer but not as the actor that his fans are eagerly waiting to witness on screen ...

Today, the film is released in the movie theaters and it has created a lot of anticipation. Vadivelu was introduced in the trailer as 'India's first dog smuggler'. He played the lead role of Nai Sekar in the film, produced by Lyca Entertainment and directed by Suraj. The lyrics are written by Durai and Asal Kolar. While Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music for the film, earlier the song 'Enga Appatha' was released as the first single from the film and became a terrific hit on the internet. Actor Vadivelu, who has not appeared in the cinema for about four years after the 2017 film "Mersal" directed by Atlee, is ready to completely conquer the fans with his re-entry.

'Naai Sekar Returns' movie review: For what joy, Vadivelu? (The Hindu)

The award can go to SS Rajamouli — for his mind-boggling epic bromance RRR — for consistently leaving the audience in a state of awe in theatres. Mani Ratnam ...

There are so many possibilities one can think of with Vadivelu as the lead. If only they had played all those clips for two hours instead of Naai Sekar Returns. How does Suraj get a budget; how does he get away by making the same awful movies? Let’s say the meme creators have done a better job preserving the man’s legacy and his outstanding contribution to Tamil cinema. But I broke this law when I was with a different publication when I went to review Kaththi Sandai. Isn’t he the most consistent of them all?

Naai Sekar Returns Review - Poor Show! (Movie Crow)

Naai Sekar Returns Review - Poor Show!Ashwin Ram Introduction: Naai Sekar Returns marks the comeback of Vaigaipuyal Vadivelu to the big screens a.

But his scenes in the first half are intolerant, mainly due to the loud characterizations of Kingsley and It Is Prashanth. Terrible costume design, intended to be funny but are irritation for the eyes. Mismatch of lip movement and dialogues is a huge issue in the movie, a part of each and every scene is out-of-sync trying to improve the quality in the dubbing stage. Sadly, he occupies only one fourth of the movie, and the rest are painful to sit through. Thumbs up to the Anandaraj’s portions, they are saviour of the film as the situation has been established well and so the jokes click. Introduction: Naai Sekar Returns marks the comeback of Vaigaipuyal Vadivelu to the big screens as a lead hero.

Naai Sekar Returns Review: Neither Darling Dogs Nor Vadivelu's ... (Film Companion)

Vadivelu gets his starring-role comeback in Suraj's film. But this is not the comeback the ace comedian or his fans deserved.

But with Suraj’s film making the comedian a ghost of his former self, with one joke after another landing with a dull thump, the air is almost tragicomic. The film treats the comedian with demigod status, as early as his introduction shot — this is interspersed with a glowing montage of some of his classic funnyman roles. But when his furry baby is abducted by Naai Sekar by accident, a rivalry is quick to form, and he is on his tail (pun not intended). He in fact goes on to slip in some of his most beloved dialogues into his lines. Like the OG Naai Sekar, a rowdy with a nose ring and a lot of kinks, the new and improved Naai Sekar too is a ruffian of some kind. But in the vast landscape of Tamil pop culture, he goes by various others — all characters from his illustrious wall of fame — with delightful prefixes.

Naai Sekar Returns movie review: Vadivelu comedy is a bland and ... (The Indian Express)

Directed by Suraj, Naai Sekar Returns is an underwhelming affair that banks majorly on the star power of Vadivelu rather than on its writing.

Vadivelu’s comedy in the past worked majorly because of the brilliant supporting actors — like Halwa Vasu, Bonda Mani, Singamuthu, Muthukaalai, the list goes on — who at times outperformed the star. At present, Sekar is a dog kidnapper who along with his good-for-nothing accomplices holds dogs of rich people hostage and demands a ransom. While that was a cleverly-written periodical satire, Naai Sekar Returns is a lazy comedy sketch stretched to appear like a movie. He claims the dog has extraordinary powers and would make its owners rich and affluent. Naai Sekar Returns is one of the many such attempts by However, this doesn’t mean a capable actor like Vadivelu can never play a lead in a film, but that a comedy sketch or skit (more so when it is unfunny) can never make up for a comedy film, and Naai Sekar Returns just bears witness to that.
