Inter striker Lautaro Martinez's World Cup campaign in Qatar was a mixed bag, but ended in triumph after he never stopped pushing the team forward. This.

Even if he was unable to score or assist a goal outside of shootouts throughout the tournament, certainly a disappointment given pre-World Cup expectations, Martinez kept his nerve in that moment to send his country into rapture, into the semifinal, and eventually to World Cup glory. Martinez was nevertheless an important part of Argentina’s team throughout the knockouts, coming on in all of their matches except the win over Croatia in the semifinals. Martinez had started in both of Argentina’s first two group stage matches, a shock opening loss to Saudi Arabia and a win over Mexico.

Los Angeles Kings Record: 17-12-5 (.574%, 15th) 5v5 Goal Differential: -3 (19th) 5v5 xGF/60: 2.66 (t-12th) 5v5 xGA/60: 2.37 (t-6th) PP xGF/60: 7.67 (23rd) PK xGA/60: 7.95 (18th) 5v5 PDO: 98.2 Previous Week: 15th (-1) The inconsistencies continue for the Kings, as last week they started with a 6-0 blowout loss to the Sabres (with all six goals coming in the third period), before taking their other two matchups against the Bruins and the Sharks. Pittsburgh Penguins Record: 18-9-4 (.645%, 9th) 5v5 Goal Differential: +9 (12th) 5v5 xGF/60: 2.98 (4th) 5v5 xGA/60: 2.42 (10th) PP xGF/60: 8.5 (13th) PK xGA/60: 7.33 (5th) 5v5 PDO: 101.1 Previous Week: 6th (+1) The Penguins come out of last week with wins in two of their three games on the week, and it was no easy stretch, as they faced the Stars, Panthers, and Hurricanes to do so, with the Canes providing them with the loss.
