A short promotional teaser was broadcasted along with the final episode, confirming that the [anime](https://hypebeast.com/tags/anime) will be back in July 2023. The entire Thousand-Year Blood arc spanned a total of 19 volumes, and the first part of the anime adaption only just about covered 5 volumes worth of content. The original manga began serialization on Weekly Shounen Jump in 2001, and finally wrapped up in August 2016 with a total of 74 volumes.
