[76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/76917-2-fast-2-furious-nissan-skyline-gt-r-r34/) is the only [LEGO](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/lego/) [Speed Champions](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/speed-champions/) set launching on January 1, 2023. [LEGO](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/lego/) [Speed Champions](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/speed-champions/) to [76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/76917-2-fast-2-furious-nissan-skyline-gt-r-r34/) is [76896 Nissan GT-R NISMO](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/76896-nissan-gt-r-nismo/) from 2020, but the two cars have more than a couple of differences in their overall design and shape. Beyond that metric though, there’s no doubt that [76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/76917-2-fast-2-furious-nissan-skyline-gt-r-r34/) is well worth the asking price wherever you’re buying it. At that size, it shouldn’t be hard to find a place for it on your desk, shelf or [LEGO](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/lego/) street. Other highlights from the racing theme include [76906 1970 Ferrari 512 M](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/76906-1970-ferrari-512-m/) and [76908 Lamborghini Countach](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/76908-lamborghini-countach/). [76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/76917-2-fast-2-furious-nissan-skyline-gt-r-r34/) and its single expression is a good match to the Fast & Furious character, with suitably wavy hair to boot. While no other builds in the theme are confirmed for 2023 so far, [76917 2 Fast 2 Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/76917-2-fast-2-furious-nissan-skyline-gt-r-r34/) would have likely overshadowed any movie or manufacturer-centric models due to its immaculate detail and value. That said, this build isn’t at all reliant on the other [LEGO](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/lego/) [Speed Champions](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/speed-champions/) set. It’s not the most detailed or appealing minifigure in the history of [LEGO](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/lego/), but it doesn’t need to be. [LEGO](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/lego/) [Speed Champions](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/speed-champions/)’ exploration of vehicles taken from films is still relatively new at the time of writing, debuting with both [76911 007 Aston Martin DB5](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/76911-007-aston-martin-db5/) and [76912 Fast & Furious 1970 Dodge Charger R/T](https://www.brickfanatics.com/product/76912-fast-furious-1970-dodge-charger-r-t/) midway through 2022. Unlike the decked-out exterior of this trophy truck, its interior is pretty bare bones. They have also added a spare tire on the back that not only adds to this hot road's sinister looks but also gives a safety net in case they end up with a flat. As McCarthy tells in the video, the suspension setup this truck uses is slightly different from the usual Coilover system found in similar vehicles. As a result, it has the same suspension geometry as a race truck, with all its weight hunkered down, giving it a low center of gravity. In the movie, this hot rod uses 35-inch tires all around.
