Originally appearing in the Disney+ series Loki, a variant of Kang (Jonathan Majors) was keeping the universe in check by not allowing variants to create a multiverse. Peyton Reed returns to the Ant-Man series, making this is the third film he's directed. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will change the course of Marvel movies for the next few years as it will introduce the next villain, Kang the Conqueror, to the movies.
