Eligible individuals who don’t have a registered bank account can redeem the cash aid at Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) branches starting today, 17th January 2023. If you’ve received the previous BKM cash aid, you should be eligible to receive STR as well. The over-the-counter redemption for STR Phase 1 cash aid at BSN is only for individuals who have received their BKM 2022 by cash or for individuals with credit failure status or who have no bank account information. Meanwhile, senior citizens with no partners as well as single B40 individuals are eligible to receive RM100. Formerly known as Bantuan Keluarga Malaysia, the cash aid was originally scheduled for March 2023 but the government has decided to distribute the aid earlier starting today, 17th January 2023. B40 households of both married or single parents are eligible to receive RM300.
