Duncan Grant's very private erotic drawings are now very public ... (Wallpaper*)

To celebrate LGBT+ History Month 2023, we explore Duncan Grant, 'Very Private?' at Charleston gallery in Sussex (until 12 March 2023)

Harriet Lloyd-Smith is the Arts Editor of Wallpaper*, responsible for the art pages across digital and print, including profiles, exhibition reviews, and contemporary art collaborations. The installation is an enchanting musing on medieval dream visions, pairing her familiar approach to collage with unseen works, such as a collaborative piece with producer and musician Rabit, featuring the contemporary queer music collective House of Kenzo. The question mark in the exhibition title carries weight: why did they have to be private at the moment of creation, and how does privacy play a role in sexuality now? The group’s countryside headquarters occupied the adjacent house and studio in Charleston (where Grant shared a studio with painter Vanessa Bell), which remains open for public tours and has become something of a pilgrimage for the myth and magic of the Bloomsbury Group. These drawings became the seed for a show, ‘Very Private?’ on view at Charleston until 12 March 2023. The drawings were made in the 1940s and 1950s, a time when such creative expression meant playing with fire.

California National Archery in the Schools Program (CalNASP ... (California Grants Portal)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) oversees the CalNASP program and trains teachers to use NASP certified equipment and lesson plans.

Funds will be used to purchase equipment, and equipment will be delivered directly to schools. Once a school has a trained instructor and their equipment kit, the school can start teaching NASP curriculum. A Grant Criterion is a letter from the school's proposed Archery Instructor detailing how NASP will be integrated into their curriculum and the potential impact it will have on students. The grant pays for a stater archery equipment kit so new schools can start the program in their PE classes. They must fill out the grant application and submit a Grant Criterion. The CalNASP grant is awarded to 10 new schools each fiscal year.

The funding for Kiama’s 2022-23 NYE fireworks (pictured) had to be used solely for this event, and what we specified we would deliver. Some projects may be a combination of both. These are outlined in the Grant Guideline document. Before we even begin, we undertake a range of internal assessments and approvals.

ACT zero emissions grant helps OzHarvest divert food from landfill ... (Canberra Weekly)

The ACT Government's Community Zero Emissions Grants are open. Food rescue charity OzHarvest Canberra explains how it made a difference.

“The Zero Emissions grant was of great assistance to us,” manager Belinda Barnier said. But if one driver is off sick for the day, OzHarvest is out by 50 per cent. The recipes come from OzHarvest’s Everyday Cookbook, and cost less than $3 a serve to make. Most are vegetarian, using lentils and legumes. Now, the [ACT Government’s Community Zero Emissions Grants](https://www.climatechoices.act.gov.au/policy-programs/community-zero-emissions-grants#:~:text=More%20information-,About%20the%20program,climate%20impacts%20and%20inspire%20change.) are open once more, with $150,000 available in 2023 for community projects to reduce emissions. Ms Barnier will apply for another grant in this year’s round. Ms Barnier believes OzHarvest Canberra needs another van. If there were one or even two more trucks, OzHarvest would only have to pay a 30 or 25 per cent catch-up rate, Ms Barnier said. “We’ve had some terrific examples over the years … a real diversity of programs … Each van collects 750 to 1,000 kg of food a day. [OzHarvest Canberra](https://www.ozharvest.org/your-local-ozharvest/canberra/) was able to divert 1.1 million kg of food waste from landfill and prevent the release of more than 2 million kg of greenhouse gasses.
