I think I’m getting the overall point of this novel, but it is taking me some time to get through. The whole “Now, gentlemen,” got a bit repetitive for my own taste after the first twenty pages or so. I’ll tell you why: It’s because Dostoevsky was mentioned by F Scott Fitzgerald in the book of his (not really a book, but a collection of short stories), and so I thought it was a natural progression. I’m thinking we can all use a short hoddle today. I was reading it this past weekend and it took me far longer to get through 20 pages than I had imagined. And I have to say, it’s a bit of a slog!

Substitute Jan Huet produced a beautiful lob to score Jersey’s second, only for Spurs to restore their five-goal parity when Falco got his second of the game, ‘slammed in’ according to Mannion and his, by now, well-thumbed thesaurus. Putting that on couldn’t have felt too comfortable for Brooke and big defender John Lacy, who had both been loaned to their hosts for the friendly. ‘Stung by this affront,’ Gibson scored again for the guests with a ‘thundered’ effort but Jersey never gave up. ‘I understand they had the opportunity of playing in Cyprus and Portugal, but they chose Jersey,’ said Gruchy about his illustrious guests. In fact, they came the year before, in early February, this time with both Hoddle and Jones. Spurs’ main attraction, in Glenn Hoddle, was away with the England team for a British Home Championship (remember that?) match 24 hours later against Northern Ireland at Wembley (he scored in the 89th minute to seal a 4-0 win), in which Ray Clemence also kept goal.
The north London club's full financial results mention some of the plans for the future at the stadium complex along the Tottenham high road.
"The principal activities of the group continue to be the operation of both a men's and a women's professional football club in England together with associated commercial activities. "The men's team ultimately finished the season in fourth place in the Premier League, securing Champions League qualification. "The comparative season in the statements, the 2020-21 season, was severely disrupted by the global pandemic caused by COVID-19 and consequently the season was played predominantly behind closed doors resulting in lost matchday revenue. "The 2021-22 season saw fans return to the stadium following the previous season being played predominantly behind closed doors. There are a number of projects at the southern end of the site (hotel and residential) which will be ultimately developed when appropriate." [releasing their annual financial results earlier this month](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/daniel-levy-totenham-financial-results-26204461), the club have since published the full 52-page document which touches on current and future projects.
Tottenham Hotspur want Dean Henderson as they consider the Manchester United goalkeeper as a possible heir to Hugo Lloris.
[That’s according to Football London](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/transfer-news/tottenham-goalkeeper-transfer-shortlist-lloris-26310971), who claim that Henderson is just one of a host of goalkeepers on the Tottenham radar. Whilst Henderson may fancy a move to Tottenham and believe that he can be the heir to Lloris, United could be an issue. A win for Sunderland would extend their gap over Coventry (in 11th as of Friday morning) to seven points. Three of the four are all competing for the top six. [West Ham](https://bracethehammer.sbnation.com/)-Forest could be a fun one too, but really only if Forest win. good morning everyone - I’m awarding bonus points to whoever can correctly guess all four players in the lead image for today. but that person in the bottom right corner does appear to be a challenge [Leeds](https://throughitalltogether.sbnation.com)- [Southampton](https://stmarysmusings.sbnation.com) and Palace- [Liverpool](https://liverpooloffside.sbnation.com/)).
