I went to the Honor booth at MWC, and there I got to see the company's latest flagship offering — Honor Magic 5 Pro. Here are my first impressions.

Now, the Magic 5 Pro also features a 5,100mAh battery under the hood, which is a significant upgrade over the 4,600mAh battery of the Honor Magic 4 Pro. However, it is the phone's build and how it feels in the hand and how it looks, which makes the Honor Magic 5 Pro a one-of-a-kind flagship smartphone available in a sea of options. Of course, in my limited time, I didn't get to test the camera of the phone, but from what I have heard from people who have used the Honor Magic 4 Pro of last year, they are only expecting great things out of the Magic 5 Pro. With the launch of the Honor Magic 5 Pro, Honor has created a pure flagship smartphone with all bells and whistles that you'd expect in a high-end smartphone. Sadly, as we have already established, it did not come to the Indian market, and the Magic 5 Pro is also not coming to the Indian market. I am talking about the Honor Magic 5 Pro, the successor to the Honor Magic 4 Pro from last year.

Over $1100 is a lot to ask for a phone these days.

The phone certainly ticks many top-end boxes, but it's got stiff competition and with such a high price I feel Honor will struggle to get many takers, especially when phones like the OnePlus 11 offers many similar features at a much lower price. The display is big and bright enough to do justice to YouTube videos. Honor also boasts some AI smarts, with a motion function that's designed to help you take better pictures of subjects in action like skateboarders or basketball players. Taken from the main camera, this image has quite a strong HDR look, with very toned-down skies and lifted shadows on the buildings. Honor's latest flagship phone, the Magic 5 Pro, packs a strong lineup of specs, including the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and a triple camera array. Honor used to be a sub-brand of Chinese mobile firm Huawei.
