The materials were all locally sourced, including [Mangalore tiles](https://www.architecturaldigest.in/story/tracing-the-history-and-legacy-of-mangalore-tiles/) for the walls, Dholpur pink stone for the counters, and black-stained pine wood for the stools and platform. โ€œIt was designed to be calming, to envelop guests in zen vibes,โ€ says Rohra, referencing the pristine walls, terracotta-toned counters and unfussy earthenware. The space was designed to maximise that experience,โ€ she explains of the tea room, christened Bai Mu Dan.
