It sits next to a 50MP, f/2.0 telephoto camera equivalent to a 75mm portrait lens along with a 50MP, f/2.2 ultrawide angle camera. There’s a triple rear camera on the back with a main 50MP, f/1.9 camera using the 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensor. There’s also 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging, along with support for WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G and NFC. There’s also a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus over it for scratch resistance, while the back is made of a bio-ceramic material. They’re two pretty different smartphones, with one being perhaps more for the casual user wanting a compact flagship, while the latter on paper packs nearly everything you’d want in a smartphone.

Xiaomi 13 Series Now Official In Malaysia; Starts From RM 3499 (Lowyat.NET)

Xiaomi today has officially launched its new Xiaomi 13 flagship series in Malaysia, arriving not long after its global debut last night.

Like its sibling, it is also offered with 12 GB of RAM, but comes with a higher storage configuration of 512 GB. The Xiaomi 13 series is slated to be available for purchase in Malaysia next month on 8 March 2023, with pre-orders now available starting today on 27 February until 7 March. Situated within the punch-hole cutout on its display, on the other hand, is a 32 MP selfie camera. Specifications and options are exactly the same as the international release, with the exception of the [Lite model](https://www.lowyat.net/2023/294150/xiaomi-civi-2-13-lite-global-launch/), which the company confirmed is not available for the local market. Additionally, powering the phone is a 4,500 mAh battery with 67 W fast charging support via USB-C. The vanilla model sports a flat display and surrounding frame, while the Pro model exhibits a more rounded overall look to complement its curved screen.

The ultra-wide camera is a 50MP f/2.2, 14mm unit with macro support and AF. Besides that, the Xiaomi 13 Pro also offers up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
