Her family wished to see her off quietly and have already held a private funeral for the musician. As she got older and her voice was praised by others, she set her heart on becoming a singer.

The famous singer, Maon Kurosaki, known for providing music for shows like High School of the Dead and Reincarnated as a Sword, has died.

She leaves behind a lasting legacy in the anime music industry. It contained all the ending songs she provided for the anime High School of the Dead, including "Color me Dark," "Fuss Fuzz," "The Place of Hope," and more. Kurosaki would also step outside of her singing career and into the world of acting by playing the role of Michiru Arisugawa in Blood-Club Dolls 1 & 2, a live-action adaptation of the Production I.G. A producer from Geneon Universal Entertainment -- now known as NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan -- soon took note of her talent and scouted her for the company. She would eventually succumb to the condition, which was the result of a chronic illness. Her family chose to host a small funeral for her soon afterward outside of the public eye.

Maon Kurosaki, a Japanese anime singer who dedicated her career to performing songs for various anime series, passed away at 35.

From 2011 to 2016, she was a member of the synthpop band Altima. Unfortunately, despite declining health, Kurosaki passed away on February 16, 2023, due to complications related to her chronic illness. Maon Kurosaki was a Japanese singer and songwriter born in Tokyo on January 13, 1988. It was her first-time writing lyrics for a duet, and she had to consider the roles of both singers and the guitarist in the song. She made her major debut in 2010 with the ending themes of the anime series Highschool of the Dead, and her first album, H.O.T.D., was released that year. She discovered her interest in becoming a performer in elementary school and auditioned for a theater artist role in the sixth grade.
