KOTA KINABALU (March 14): Former Sabah and Sarawak football legend Bobby Chua Kim Lun passed away at 2.25pm on Tuesday. He was 54.
However, he helped Sarawak to capture the Charity Shield in his first season in 1998. Bobby played in the Sabah squad which won the FA Cup title in 1995 and the Premier League title in 1996 (the nationโs top tier at the time). Hailed from Inanam, Bobby played for Sabah and Sarawak in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
He had been suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a rare neurological disease that gradually paralyses muscles in the body.
