The Bloodline storyline was a winner before this match started as they rightfully main evented Night 1 of WrestleMania. Rey and Dominik Mysterio lived past their lofty expectations in a match that paid off every piece of storytelling leading up to the emotional father-son feud. This WrestleMania card was too good for its big matches not to be among the best of the night, but the tag team Fatal 4-Way set a tone that every match had to work hard to follow. Seth Rollins picked up the win, but in five WWE matches, Logan Paul continues to become a human highlight real. On a stacked WrestleMania card, the tag team Fatal 4-Way was a throwaway match that nobody had any expectations for.

As the Nigerian gaint goes for another chokeleslam, Lesnar escapes the hold and finally manages to lift Omos and swirl him around for the F5. Like it was the case last evening, a women's Wrestlemania showcase tag team match followes the opener. Placed second on the card may not be idea pickings for the former Women's champion but it's a Wrestlemania win for her nonetheless. Sheamus unloads on Gunther, grabbing him by the ropes and unleashing the 10 Beats of the Bodhran - albeit with a new variation. Asuka went for the green mist but Bianca ducked right in the nick of time. This is Edge's First Hell in a Cell match in 14 years having last faced The Undertaker inside this structure back at Summerslam of 2008. An alert Cody hits Roman with the Cross-Rhodes but Reigns gets his shoulder up as the crowd in the arena exploded. Meanwhile, the referee gets knocked out and it allows The Usos to intervene. When they stared each other down in the beginning, all I could think of was every great Rocky movie. Given how restless this crowd was getting, if WWE beat Cody Rhodes tonight there might be a riot in Los Angles. Sikoa would go on to interfere again and again, with more heat every time. Drew McIntyre surprisingly got the better of GUNTHER in a heated chop-off. All other on-camera references to this movie were also booed, and that movie spent all that money on marketing for nothing. The internet wrestling snobs thumbed their nose at this match, but there are few human beings who could get the type of heat that Brock Lesnar and Omos just got for a basic opener. Shane McMahon immediately began unloading punches, and the heat temporarily died. The match promptly ended shortly thereafter as Ronda Rousey trapped Shotzi in an armbar. Asuka, a women’s tag team Fatal 4-Way and Brock Lesnar vs. Asuka’s entrance was great as well, with Asuka clones appearing.

Cody Rhodes: Rhodes relied on his amateur wrestling background and speed advantage to control his powerhouse opponent in the early portion of the match. Belair ducked a cloud of mist, Asuka side-stepped a hair whip, Asuka rolled into an armbar and Belair lifted Asuka into a KOD for the win. Balor was reeling in pain but managed to kick out of a spear from "The Rated R Superstar." The performers did a masterful job of telling a story of friction and feelings of betrayal between Sheamus and McIntyre. Balor found his way back into the match and drove his heels through Edge with a Coup de Grace. The champion powerbombed Sheamus onto McIntyre and subsequently powerbombed McIntyre for the win. The men's showcase match was a hard act to follow but the women put in a strong effort. The mammoth superstar tossed around Lesnar and effortlessly power-slammed him in the early portions of the match.

WWE made the awkward decision to repeat that spot on Sunday, this time bringing out Shane McMahon. It only got worse on Sunday when McMahon leapfrogged The Miz and injured his knee. She has been further solidified as the top woman in WWE after this latest victory. Even the arrival of Damage CTRL could not bring new excitement to the titles. Yes, Edge and Phoenix beat Ripley and Balor in a tag match at Elimination Chamber, but a simple tag win doesn't feel like appropriate payback for the attack on Edge's wife, nor all the other times Balor has violently gotten the best of Edge. Edge has been great in the ring and inconsistent on the microphone since returning from a seemingly career-ending injury. They are by far the most cohesive team in this makeshift match and have the most star power. Sheamus, one of WWE's most underappreciated talents, doesn't seem as though he's set for a run with the belt and McIntyre doesn't need the strap. Rhodes has quickly established himself as one of WWE's top stars, has crossover interest of the AEW audience, quickly became a top merchandise-seller and is red hot with momentum. Pair that with the fact that Belair is a reliable champion and Rhea Ripley -- who also has a dark, brooding persona -- should be favored to beat Flair, and Asuka's chances are slim. Pick: Bianca Belair to retain the title -- Mahjouri (also Brookhouse) WWE has really dropped the ball with the introduction of Asuka's darker side. There is no real choice for WWE but to put the title on Rhodes here. And Edge and Finn Balor look to end their bitter rivalry when they meet inside Hell in a Cell. He has bested some of the top superstars in the promotion, including Edge, Daniel Bryan, Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, John Cena, Rey Msyterio, Brock Lesnar and more. While there is always excitement heading into WrestleMania, the second night of this weekend's WrestleMania 39 has a little something extra.

It was definitely a match that met the hype and as much as I love Judgement Day, this was the right call to end this feud once and for all. This was the time to finish Cody's story. Of course, it also makes for a more dramatic turn when Cody finally turns the tide and when he hit that Cody Cutter, both the stadium and the press box exploded with excitement. This was the time to introduce something new. This was the time to end Roman's reign. It does a heart good to see Negative 1, the son of the late Brodie Lee, at ringside with Cody's family as a show of support. Still, like most Lesnar matches (and certainly most Omos matches), this was a short and basic fight. That's exactly the kind of playground a master manipulator like Roman loves, as it allows him to bend the rules and get away with it. Ronda and Shayna won by submission (the first of the weekend, so far, unless you count NXT) but there's no telling what that victory will actually mean going forward. Of course, there's still time for that but given this is a Women's Tag Team Showcase match, it felt more like a bout designed to get a bunch of women not in storylines onto the card. The size difference between Brock (known around these parts as Bork Lazer) and Omos is hilarious because the Beast Incarnate is rarely the little guy in the room.
