Japan recently experienced a series of powerful earthquakes, including a 6.3-magnitude quake that struck off southwestern Japan, causing eight reported injuries. Another earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.4 hit southern Japan, particularly affecting Ehime and Kochi prefectures. A magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck off the west coast of Shikoku island, leaving at least nine people injured. The tremors were felt intensely, registering a lower 6 on Japan's seismic intensity scale.

The most significant earthquake, measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale, jolted western Japan, specifically the Shikoku region. Fortunately, no tsunami was triggered despite the intensity of the quake.
