PARIS, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- China showcased its dominance in weightlifting as two athletes successfully defended Olympic titles at Paris 2024 on Wednesday.
Chanu had a best snatch lift of 88kg and a best clean and jerk lift of 111kg and finished with a combined lift of 199kg to finish fourth.
Mirabai Chanu will be defending her Tokyo Olympics silver medal in women's 49kg weightlifting event. Mirabai's event will begin at 11 PM IST.
